Lakewood Golf Course is an 18 hole. par 72 course
located in the
upper Kennebec Valley on Route 201, just outside of Skowhegan.
It is a beautifully kept scenic course with a view of the lake and
distant mountains. The front nine was the course of celebrities who
came as summer stock in the historic Lakewood Theater and still somewhat bears a
1930's look. Phil Wogan designed the back nine,
completed in 1992 and there the challenge begins! All are welcome at
this quality course with a friendly small town feel. Stay for dinner at the inn
and see a show. Those who try it come back!
