To all Natanis Members & Friends
Hi,
It is almost time to play outside. I can honestly say I never looked forward to a golf season more than this one. On March 3rd I was released from Seton Rehab Unit and am now working out at Gilly’s Gym with the help of Ernie Gilbert and Sherrie Oldham. They originally helped me when I was in high school.
I started Yoga to increase my range of motion and mental focus. I am also working on my short-term memory by memorizing the Presidents in order and the history of Viet Nam. So, when you see me quiz me on this stuff or fill me in. My Dad is working with me on this project. He is continuing to rebuild my golf game too.
My eyesight has progressed from complete blindness to 20/25 with some small blind-spots. I can’t drive a car yet but you won’t keep me out of a golf cart.
My Dad and I will start by playing three holes (Arrowhead) and work slowly up to nine. No skins games for awhile! We plan on a few WMSGA State Days and local tournaments. We’ll do a lot of charity events and possibly the WMSGA Amateur Championship with the goal of just finishing.
I’m moving and thinking and seeing much better and I am happy to be pumping blood. Thank you all for your cards, flowers, gifts and generosity. When the going was really tough they spurred me on.
From the bottom of my "heart".
Abby
